The information provided by Fresh Balance Nutrition is provided for educational purposes only.It is not intended as a substitute for medical nutrition therapy. This intent of this website is to provide the most current scientific information available at the time of posting. If inaccurate information is discovered, a reasonable effort will be made to correct it.

PRIVACY
What information do we collect?
We collect information from you when you register on our site, place an order, subscribe to our newsletter, or fill out a form.  When ordering or registering on our site, as appropriate, you may be asked to enter your name, email address, mailing address, phone number, or credit card information.

What do we use your information for?
Any of the information we collect from you may be used in the following ways:

  1. To personalize your experience. Your information helps us to better respond to your individual needs.
  2. To improve our website. We continually strive to improve our website offerings based on the information and feedback we receive from you.
  3. To improve customer service. Your information helps us to more effectively respond to your customer service requests and support needs.
  4. To process transactions. Your information will not be sold, exchanged, transferred, or given to any other company for any reason whatsoever, without your consent, other than for the express purpose of delivering the purchased product or service requested.
  5. To send periodic emails. The email address you provide for order processing, will only be used to send you information and updates pertaining to your order. If you decide to opt-in to our mailing list and newsletter, you will receive emails that may include company news, updates, related product or service information, etc. You may unsubscribe from receiving future emails and newsletters at any time. We include detailed unsubscribe instructions at the bottom of each email and newsletter.

How do we protect your information?
We implement a variety of measures to maintain the safety of your personal information when you place an order or access your personal information. We offer the use of a secure server. All supplied sensitive/credit information is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and then encrypted into our Payment gateway providers database only to be accessible by those authorized with special access rights to such systems, and are required to keep the information confidential.

Shared Personal Information

We routinely share non-personal and/or personal information with contractors, service providers, and other third parties we use to support our business and who are bound by contractual obligations to keep such information confidential and use it only for the purposes for which the information is disclosed.

Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics to collect information about our traffic through Google ads and other anonymous identifiers. We use Google Analytics cookies and other cookies to compile data to better understand your preferences and provide you a tailored experience. You can opt out of Google analytics by visiting Google’s Opt-Out Browser Add-on website here.

Facebook and Facebook Pixel and Retargeting. We use Facebook’s conversion tracking pixel and retargeting service(s) to monitor users who are redirected to this Website by clicking on a Facebook ad. This allows us to monitor our ads and their effectiveness, as well as to provide advertisements to users for products according to their interests. Mailchimp Email. We use Mailchimp email marketing services to send mass communication emails to users. We track how users open these emails and what links they click so that we can better serve customers with services and information that they find relevant. When you “subscribe” to our mailing list, you agree to receive email advertisements and other information from us. Out of precaution we use a “double opt-in” feature before adding you to our email list, meaning you must both provide your contact information and then click the confirmation link in a follow-up email. You may still choose to opt-out of future email messages by clicking the “unsubscribe” option at the bottom of our emails and following Mailchimp’s simple opt-out procedure. 

Stripe. We utilize Stripe (“Stripe”) to process payment transactions. When you make a purchase, selecting Stripe, you will be required to provide personal information, together with your payment information. We don’t collect or store your payment information on this website’s server. Stripe collects the information you enter and stores that information on its website. PayPal. We also utilize PayPal (“PayPal”) to process payment transactions. When you make a purchase, selecting PayPal, you might be required to provide Personal Information together with your payment information (including but not limited to, your credit card number), or you might choose to connect with your PayPal account. We do not collect or store your payment information on this Site’s web server. Stripe collects the information you enter and stores that information on its website. CalOPPA

We don’t share your personal information with third parties for direct marketing.  California Civil Code Section 1798.83 permits users of the Website who are California residents to request and obtain from us a list of what personal information (if any) we disclosed to third parties for direct marketing purposes in the preceding calendar year and the names and addresses of those third parties. Requests may be made only once a year and are free of charge. Under Section 1798.83, we currently do not share any personal information with third parties for their direct marketing purposes.

GDPR

Fresh Balance LLC is 100% compliant with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). If you’d like to unsubscribe from any email newsletter you can click on the unsubscribe button at the bottom of our email newsletter. 

Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act Compliance
We are in compliance with the requirements of COPPA (Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act Compliance), we do not collect any information from anyone under 13 years of age. Our website, products, and services are all directed to people who are at least 13 years old or older.

Amazon Affiliate and other affiliate links

Fresh Balance LLC is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for us to earn fees by linking to Amazon.com and affiliated sites. Some of the sections of this site will allow you to purchase different products and services online provided by other merchants, and not us. Some of the links that we post on our site are “affiliate links.” This means if you click on the link and purchase the item, we will receive an affiliate commission.

Refunds
We do not offer refunds on nutrition counseling services after the initial session (first appointment) is completed. We do not offer refunds on digital guides, ebooks, and online products.

Telehealth Virtual Platform

All sessions will be conducted using the Practice Better platform. Once you purchase a package of coaching sessions, you will receive in invitation to book your sessions. Sessions will be booked at least 24 hours in advance, and a minimum of 24 hours is required to cancel or reschedule a session. If a session is cancelled outside of this time frame, the session may be forfeited.
